New Homes for Small Sites
Churchill Road and Spencer Rise
The story so far
Between June and November 2022, Camden's New Homes for Small Sites team engaged with residents on various estates to discuss the construction of a small number of new homes.
Cabinet decision
On February 22, 2023, Camden Council's Cabinet approved the initial phase of the Small Sites program. This phase will involve designing around 74 Council and/or Camden Living Rent homes across five estates, including approximately 6 supported living homes on Churchill Road and Spencer Rise. The potential small site being considered on the estate is shown below.
What's next?
In December 2024, we appointed architects Archio to work on the proposals to create designs for approximately 6 supported living homes with 24 hour support staff presence on the estate.

Camden Council and our new design team are about to begin work to design approximately six Supported Living homes with 24-hour support staff presence on the estate. Why Small Sites?
Camden is dedicated to delivering 1,800 new council homes throughout the borough to address the housing crisis and meet the needs of local communities. Our goal is to provide affordable, high-quality housing for families while promoting energy efficiency and combating climate change. By exploring opportunities beyond large-scale regeneration projects, we aim to utilise spaces across Camden to create or support building of new homes.
